Please be in prayer for our 2015 mission teams. The first team of the year arrived February 26. We are very grateful for their hearts and their willingness to be used of the Lord to serve others. Our prayer is as they serve they will each be drawn closer to the Lord. The families that are served, may they first of all thank the Lord for sending servants. We are grateful to serve with each team, pray with us for open doors so the gospel can go forth. Pray also for the safety of each team member, and that each would serve with selfless hearts. May our God be praised and glorified in everything said and done in Jesus name. Thank you Lord for the opportunity to serve you.
We had a great time of fellowship and service with the mission team from Cassville, Missouri. They served 2 families with home improvement projects, led our Tuesday Bible study, made some home/hospital visits, and did a lot of work on our campus. One Thursday afternoon, during a home visit, the home owner accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. The angels in heaven are praising our Heavenly Father! Thank you team for your sweet, servant hearts. You certainly made a difference in the lives of others.
We had a wonderful time serving the Lord with the Cornerstone church mission team. Like all of our mission teams, this team was so willing to do whatever was asked of them. They served with joy in unity using their hearts, hands, and voices for God’s glory. The team spent several hours together in God’s word each morning and evening. On Wednesday evening two of the team members accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior. On Saturday morning May 10, just prior to their departure, they were baptized in the creek across the street from our campus. We praise the Lord for touching hearts for eternity. Thank you Jesus!
31 servants blessed 6 families in our community. They worked hard all week and loved the people they served with the love of Christ. We began our time together in worship at Richardson Missionary Baptist church on Sunday morning. The spirit of service was evident throughout the week, the fellowship was great and the team gathered each evening to be in God’s word. A special thank you to the entire team for everything done in Jesus name.
Our Christmas celebration was made possible by the generosity of several churches from around the country. A big thank you goes to several churches in the Louisville, Kentucky area for donating 240 Christmas shoe boxes, a South Florida church donated several Christmas gifts, several Georgia Baptist churches donated 200 backpacks filled with gifts and school supplies, and the Father Beiting Mission Center from Louisa, Kentucky donated the food baskets.
We had over 200 families from our community attend our celebration. We celebrate Jesus, He is the reason for the season. We were blessed to share the gospel along with songs of praise to our Savior, families are given hats and mittens, a food basket, and gifts for their children. Thank you to the entire ARO staff, the Martin County Operation Unite club, and friends of ARO for making our Christmas celebration a huge success.
