Dwayne Mills

Executive Director

 Dwayne and his wife Bethany, his sons Ethan, Evan, and Eli, and his daughter Emily.

Dwayne moved back to Martin County with his family in June 2012 after serving as Associate Dean of Students at Olivet Nazarene University and Bethany was the Director of Counseling and Health Services. Dwayne has served in full-time ministry since 1995. He has served in Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and now Kentucky. He says, “There is no better calling and place to be than in the center of God’s will. I am excited to serve the people of Martin County and the surrounding areas. There is no better place than living in heart of Appalachia.”

Bill Zuidema

Campus Director/ARO Thrift Store Manager

Bill and his wife, Jana, are blessed with three children, Rachel, Johnny and Isaiah. They joined the ARO team in August of 2011. 


Bill is a graduate from Dordt College, Iowa. Jana is a graduate from Calvin College, Michigan. Their desire is to follow God’s leading through their work at the thrift store and their involvement with the food pantry.

David Crum

Work & Witness/Groundskeeper Director

David and his wife Angela were both born and raised in Martin County. In 2006, they welcomed their son Tate into their little family and have since been committed to raising him here in Martin County, KY. Dave graduated from Big Sandy Community and Technical College in 2004 and has worked in the coal industry for many years.


He serves in local youth ministry, church leadership and has given many years as a volunteer fire fighter. It is his desire and commitment to allow God to use him so that his family and others will be afforded the same opportunity to call these mountains he knows and loves, home.

Victor Morris

ARO WV Work & Witness Site Coordinator

Vic and Lisa are both proud West Virginia natives who spent many years traveling the country and the world while serving in the US Army. Vic has over 30 years of military experience, with time served in the US Marines, the WV Air National Guard, and the US Army. He retired from the Army in 2014 and continued to work for the government as a civilian for six years.

They have now returned back home to WV and are dedicating their time and efforts to helping establish ARO's WV Work & Witness site. Lisa, who followed him all over the country and the world as a military spouse, will also be using her gifts in hospitality to ensure all the teams who visit WV have a great and memorable experience!

Vic and Lisa spend their free time working on their farm, camping and hiking. Vic also serves as a volunteer firefighter. Lisa Morris have two adult children, Rachel and Benjamin, and one grandson, Bradley.
